For Immediate Release

Panama City Beach, FL, June 22, 2010. Carillon Beach Weddings and Events today announced that bride Lindsay Catalano and her fiance Jon Lacy of Alpharetta, GA, are more determined than ever to have their dream wedding at Carillon Beach this fall. The bride’s optimistic comments were also featured this week in an AP story that has garnered international coverage.

“I’ve had a very positive attitude about the situation in the gulf as a whole. This is a part of life and crisis happens,” Catalano says. “in these times that we need to come together and support each other and our businesses. You can’t just say you’re never going to vacation somewhere again because of this.”

“Lindsay and her fiance have a shared optimism that energizes those of us who live, love, and work in this very wonderful part of the world. The Gulf of Mexico has always been special for so many people,” said Pam Thompson, wedding and event manager for Carillon Beach Weddings and Events. “Right now we are joining our friends up and down the Panhandle to support this beloved place that we treasure.”

One of the ways Catalano and her fiance plan to show their support is by providing information on how wedding guests who want to go above and beyond typical wedding activities can also make contributions of time or money to support oil spill relief efforts.
“I look at this situation as something I will remember for the rest of my life. Whether it’s on the beach or in the grass, the celebration is of my fiance and our love for one another. The oil spill won’t stop us,” Catalano declares. “We will always remember this moment, now for more reasons than one. But I can say our wedding will go on, with my dream husband and my dream location!”
“We are so thankful for people like Lindsay and Jon who are keeping so many people employed here in the Panhandle area, such as florists, caterers, and photographers just to name a few. This crisis has truly touched each and every life and we are banding together to see it through,” says Thompson.

Carillon-Beach also provides beach updates via Constant Contact to keep its brides and other interested parties informed on a daily basis.
